The Restaurant at Sage Hill
Sage Hill Inn wants to make your Texas Hill Country dining experience unforgettable. Executive Chef Ryan Castille puts as much focus on our restaurant as we do to the rest of the property and the secret is out. In the summer of 2013 the Austin American Statesman said “More than 50 Austin Chef’s are named in ‘Best Chef’s America…’ More than a few you might not recognize at places like the Sage Hill Inn Above Onion Creek!”
We strive to provide as close to 100% local farm-to-table ingredients from local purveyors as possible. Our Chef designs the Prix Fixe menu approximately one week in advance based on available seasonal ingredients. Fresh, local ingredients and vegetables grown in our own garden enable us to deliver incredible quality right from the Hill Country. We strive to select products that are produced and raised locally in a healthy, ethical manner.
All rooms include a full hot breakfast and a 3-course dinner, so the restaurant has limited space open to the public by reservation only. Our Prixe Fixe menu is posted below and is updated on Thursdays, for the following week. The menu is subject to change without notice, depending on availability of ingredients. If you have dietary restrictions please let us know as soon as possible, so we have enough time to accommodate them.
Our Farm to Table Sourced Suppliers Include:
- Pure Luck Farms – Award Winning Cheeses from Dripping Springs.
- Dewberry Hills Farms – Ethically pastured and raised Central Texas Chicken.
- Brazos Valley Cheese – Hard and Soft Cheeses from Waco, TX.
- Farm to Table Austin – Distributing locally grown farm products to local Austin restaurants.
- Mom’s Beef – pastured and primarily grass-fed just down the street from the Inn.
Dinner Seating Nightly
Our three-course dinner is served every night at 6:00 pm in our dining room. Feel free to come in casual dress. Dinner is open to the public by reservation only. Please feel free to bring your favorite wine with you to dinner, as we are waiting to acquire our beer and wine license. Seating is arranged much like a dinner party with anywhere from 4, 6, or 8 guests to a table. If you prefer dinner in your room, we deliver in-room dining at 7:15 pm with a small service charge.
Every Morning you’ll find a full breakfast served in our dining room. In addition, a basket of baked breads, scones, and/or muffins, as well as a tray of fresh seasonal fruits and our homemade granola is always available. And, of course, every day at Sage Hill Inn begins with a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice, locally-sourced coffee and a choice of dozens of teas!
Event Catering Available
Our Chef and his staff can cater your special Hill Country event including weddings, family reunions, bridal showers, birthday parties or any type of private event. Our chef will work with you to create the prefect catering menu for your special get-together. We’ve prepared everything from a crawfish boil for a family reunion, BBQ and chicken fried steak for a wedding, to Gulf Black Drum and Red Fish. Feel free to discuss your ideas openly—there isn’t much our chef hasn’t seen.
